Winter Baking...Kids Playing

I love having the house all cozy inside, when it is not so warm and cozy outside, here are some samples of the things I have been baking...

pull apart cheese buns

danish puff pastry

After the kids came home from school with one of the first snow falls that was 'sticky' snow, which doesn't happen very often, we built a snow man..

Lots of fun!

The fish I caught...

Canada was spent at Red Bluff with Jason and Laura and Brian & Elaine and families, great fun! We pulled the trailer there tuesday night, and stayed Thursday too, the kids enjoyed the time at the lake, and I didn't mind working on the tan!

I thought this picture captured the theme song for the day. Kierra caught a minnow, Sheldon caught a frog, Chandler caught a crab from underneath the log, the fish I caught was this big this big this big the fish I caught was this big...but then it got away! Felicity caught a minnow, Evangelene caught a frog, Darren caught a crab from underneath the log...the fish I caught was this big, this big, this big. The fish I caught was this big, but then it got away! I was a great time in the summertime.

Summer?

A rainy afternoon with summer holidays just beginning... hopefully it isn't a sign of things to come. We had a painting afternoon, while Nadia was sleeping (of course), these are the results.

Hard at work

Sheldon's "art"

Darren's bird house a birthday present from 'Abbotsford' Opa and Oma.

A horse that Kierra could decorate - a birthday present from Uncle Jason and Auntie Laura.

Kierra and Sheldon worked on Dora together - a long ago birthday present for Kierra. There were also some old CD's that were primed and they also painted them. A fun crafty afternoon.

It Is My Turn

I have enjoyed reading so many other people's blogs, that I thought I would start my own. A little windowinto the going ons in the Onderwater household. I don't think I will make any rash promises as to how faithful I will be at this point, just take it one post at a time. If they are few and far between, I apologize now, but then you can't say you weren't warned!
